Whitney & Garrett: A Day at Reeds and Rushes

As both the photographer and DJ for Whitney and Garrett's wedding at Reeds and Rushes in Minnesota, we had the privilege of witnessing a celebration that felt effortlessly real and full of genuine moments.

From the start, their laid-back vibe was contagious. Before the first look, they prepared letters for each other to read. It was a simple, intimate, and a moment that captured the depth of their connection without any fanfare.

The ceremony itself reflected that same calm energy. There was no pressure to be perfect—just a beautiful exchange of vows and laughter in between. Whitney and Garrett's authenticity was evident in everything, from their relaxed portraits in the golden hour light to their easygoing dance floor presence later that evening.

Speaking of the golden hour, after the ceremony, we took some time for portraits as the sun set, casting the perfect glow over the couple. With no rushing and fun energy, they just enjoyed each other's company in that beautiful light—those are the moments I love to capture. 

The reception was where the fun really kicked in. It was a night that felt like a celebration of who they are—laid-back, joyful, and completely in tune with each other.
